“No, Tiny. I think I hurt you enough. I’m going to make you come, make you feel good, and remind you of why you walked into that tattoo parlor ready and willing to get my mark on your skin.”

She turns her head a little more, looking back at me with fire blazing in her eyes. “I got it before I knew about whoever the fuck that woman is,” she sneers.

I chuckle, my teeth nipping her neck. “She’ll be gone soon, Lea. Then it’s just you and me, babe. Until you’re sick and fuckin’ tired of me.”

She hums, turning away from me with a sigh. She doesn’t believe me. She shouldn’t. I’m going to try my fucking hardest to get rid of Chardonnay, to get Lea right where she belongs. Fuck, I don’t know when it will happen, but Christ, I hope it’s soon.

Burying myself deep inside of her, I straighten my back and look down between us. Sliding out of her heat, I notice the way her wetness coats my cock before it disappears inside of her again.

I fuck her slowly, easing myself in and out of her tight cunt. Sliding my hand up the center of her back, I wrap my fingers in her dreads and tug her neck back.

“Look at me,” I demand as I force her neck to arch so that I can look down into her face when I fuck her.

Slowly, her eyes open and I bite back the curse at the wetness shimmering in them. Tears. I don’t do fucking tears. Pulling out of her slightly, I sink back inside. Over and over again, I fuck her, watching her as she watches me.

“You ain’t goin’ anywhere, Lea. You’re mine, now.”

“Baby,” she whimpers. I shake my head and her trembling lips speak my real name. “Mitchell,” she whispers.

  “You’re mine,” I repeat.

She pulls her bottom lip in and her teeth sink down against the soft plump flesh. “I want you to be mine, too,” she whispers.

  “I will be.”

She tries to shake her head, but I hold her hair tighter. “I can’t be yours until you can be mine,” she breathes.

  “Fuck,” I curse.

My fingers are still against her clit. I play her, pinching her bud before I flick it, repeating the motion as my lower back tingles and my balls draw up. I’m so fucking close, so close to losing my load inside of her.

“Mine,” I grunt as sweat gathers against my forehead and chest.

  “No,” she attempts to deny.

Slamming my hips against her ass, I fuck her harder than I intend. This was supposed to be a controlled show of ownership, but this fucking bitch has turned me inside out. My control is slipping, my hold on her hair tightening even more.

“Mine,” I growl, leaning over her to press my mouth against hers.

She cries out as her pussy clenches around me. Without being able to fucking stop myself, I surge forward and empty my balls inside of her sweet body. A shiver rolls through me as I attempt to catch my breath.

  “Baby,” she whimpers.

I’m sure her neck hurts, possibly her back too. No doubt her pussy aches and even her hair, but I can’t seem to force myself to immediately release her.

  “Stay,” I rasp.

She doesn’t speak, her breath escaping her in pants and slowly, my hold on her loosens. Then when she collapses against the bed, I follow behind her, my sweat-soaked front against her back.

  “No more,” she whispers.

“No more what, Lea?” I ask, so fucking tired all of a sudden.

She doesn’t try to get up or move me off of her. My fingers twitch against her clit and she moans softly. My cock is still buried deep inside of her, but I’m waiting to see what she’s going to say next.

“No more of this. Not until whatever it is you have with that woman is gone,” she says, her voice sounding strong but haunted. “I’ll accept a lot from you, for the club, and all their rules. One thing I won’t have is a man who fucks some other woman, who parades her around in front of me like I’m the side-whore. You get rid of her or there’s no us, mark or no mark.”

“Lea,” I warn, reluctantly pulling out of her and standing to my feet.

I tug my jeans over my hips and run my fingers through my hair as she turns around, planting her ass on the floor.

Her jeans and panties are mid-thigh, her hair is everywhere and she’s only got a bra on top. She’s hot and flushed, so goddamn perfect, until those eyes of hers, those haunted hurt eyes meet mine.

“I’m serious, Baby. There will be no us if that woman or any woman other than me is in your bed. I don’t care how the club works. I don’t give one single fuck, I will leave and between Snake and Skinner, you won’t ever find me.”

Marching over to her, I crouch down in front of her, my hand reaching out to wrap around the front of her throat. I squeeze and watch as she just stares at me, no fucking fear in her eyes, but it should be there.

“Don’t you ever threaten me,” I growl.

She tilts her head to the side as she licks her lips. “It’s not a threat, Baby. It’s a promise. I will vanish, because I sure as fuck won’t play second fiddle. I watched my mom do it for years and it nearly broke her. I will not accept that shit.”

Releasing her neck, I stand. She’s dead fucking serious, shit. Naturally, I picked a woman who was strong as goddamn steel.

No way could I pick one that would just do as I said. Nope, I had to pick someone with a fucking backbone.

Turning around, I leave her alone, hating each step that I take away from her. She’s right though. I need to get this shit handled with Chardonnay.

I can’t have that cunt in the background when I’m trying to start something with a woman that I actually give two shits about. A woman that could very well be the perfect fit, what I’ve been looking for since Hayden.

  CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

  BABY

I watch as she stirs. If Chardonnay weren’t a knockout, she wouldn’t be where she is right now, and she knows it. My ass is planted in the chair across from her, my fingers laced together and my elbows on my knees and I wait for her to wake the fuck up.

She lifts her hand to her forehead, most likely because her brain is pounding against her skull, or at least that’s what it feels like. Tilting my head to the side, I wait.

  “You drugged me,” she moans.

“Must have experience with the effects?”

Her brows pull together before she opens her eyes just a slit. She pouts, but my sympathies are now gone.

If Snake isn’t going to get done whatever he has planned, I’m going to lock the bitch up in the basement until he handles his shit.

Either way, she’s not leaving this clubhouse ever again.

“I do,” she sighs as she slowly sits up.

She doesn’t puke, surprisingly enough, but she does place her hand against her belly. “Tell me, Chardonnay, who is the Phillippe Martel who resides in Alberta?”

She sucks in a breath, her eyes finding mine and rounding. I’m probably going against everything Snake has up his sleeve, but the way Lea looked at me, the way she made it clear she wanted zero part of me, I can’t live like that.

Not even for a day, fuck, not for a minute.

“What do you mean?” she asks.

I shrug, my eyes shifting to my feet, then back up to hers. “Research is a fucking bitch, you know?” Just like her, I think, but I don’t say it aloud.

“It can be. We don’t need to know everything. The internet has ruined this world and the people who thirst for immediate knowledge, it’s a curse rather than a boon.” She shrugs.

Shaking my head, I almost laugh. I’m sure that it is a curse for crooked politicians. “I think it’s time for a little meeting, babe,” I announce.

Chardonnay’s eyes widen as I stand to my feet. Holding out my hand, I wait for her to slip her palm in mine. I decide not to act like a complete dick, at least not yet. I’ll have my time to end her.

Walking out of the hallway and into the bar, I pause when I see Lea sitting with her back against the bar, her eyes focused on me. I expect to see her fiery anger in her gaze, b
ut instead her gaze is completely blank.

“She’s a pretty little thing, hairs a bit of a fucking mess, but…” Chardonnay’s words trail off.

“You don’t talk to her or about her, you don’t know her,” I state.

She makes a noise, her hand slips from mine and before I can grab her, she’s marching toward Lea. I frown, watching the way Lea tips her head back to look up at the bitch. Then she smiles, her eyes flicking toward mine before they go back to Chardonnay.

My feet finally unstick from the floor and I march toward them. Wrapping my fingers around her shoulder, I squeeze too hard, tugging her back.

  “The fuck?” I bark.

Chardonnay turns her head, her eyes sparkling and a grin playing on her lips. “She’s lovely, Baby. Simply lovely.” She laughs.

  “Oh, Mitchell?” Lea calls out.

Chardonnay’s spine stiffens, her eyes widening and her mouth parting a bit. “Mitchell?” she whispers.

My gaze cuts over to Lea, she’s grinning toward me and I watch as she hops off of the chair she’s sitting on.

  “Go fuck yourself,” Lea hisses.

She turns away from me and I watch as she walks, her ass looking fucking phenomenal with each step she takes.

  “Mitchell?” Chardonnay repeats.

“Yeah?” I ask, tearing my gaze from Lea’s ass.

“Were you ever going to tell me your name?”

  “Wasn’t plannin’ on it.”

Taking her wrist in my hand, I pull her behind me and quickly walk toward Snake’s office. Pushing the door open, we step inside. I push the bitch in front of me, my eyes finding Snake’s. His narrow on me, already knowing what I’m about to say and do.

  “You didn’t,” he growls.

Slamming the door closed, I lock it and cross my arms over my chest. “I fuckin’ did. I want this shit done,” I announce.

“I should beat your ass into the ground,” he says.

“Later. You and Skinner get first dibs,” I snort.

Snake chuckles, lifting his hand to his face and scrubbing his palm down with a heavy sigh. “Wasn’t ready for this,” he points out.

  “Yeah.”

“Will someone tell me what in the fuck is going on here?” Chardonnay screeches.

Snake directs his gaze to the bitch. He lets out a snort, then picks up his cell phone and I watch as he moves his fingers over the screen.

“You need to tell us about your father and your brother,” Snake says.

Chardonnay doesn’t speak, glancing down at her I notice that she flinches when her eyes meet mine. Evil, pure, fucking evil, fills her features.

I should be scared of her, I should be goddamn terrified, but all it makes me want to do is strangle her and watch the evil light dim in those eyes.

“It doesn’t matter who they are, all you need to know is that if you fuck with either of them, they won’t go down for a goddamn thing, only you and your club will.”

  LEA

“I still feel him between my legs, little girl. Don’t fuck with the big girls, you won’t win,” the woman says with a wide smile playing on her lips.

As hard as it is, I ignore her. She isn’t worth my time, my breath, as much as I want to grab her by her hair and drag her to the ground, I don’t.

  “Oh, Mitchell?” I call out.

Baby’s gaze moves from this blonde bitch in front of me to me. His eyes widen slightly and he looks so damn clueless. If this situation were any different, if it wasn’t ripping my heart out of my chest, then I might think that the look on his face was cute.

“Go fuck yourself,” I call out.

Sliding off of the chair, I turn away from them, away from whatever fucked up shit they’re doing. I didn’t tell the woman that I still feel Baby between my legs as well. With every step that I take, I feel him and my heart cracks a little more.

Once I’m inside my room, I close the door behind me and lock it, just in case he gets any brilliant ideas and tries to come in. Walking over to the window, I let out a frustrated sigh.

Why I think he’s going to come in here, when he was walking around holding hands with that woman, I’ll never know.

The phone taunts me on the nightstand. I need to talk to someone, being trapped in this room alone, it isn’t going to do me any favors.

Biting the corner of my bottom lip, I think about calling my mom but shake my head. Instead, I call Whitley. I don’t know how, but I still have her cell memorized.

  “Hello?”

“It’s Lea, I can’t be in here a second longer, but I’m not allowed to leave either,” I breathe.

There is a little shuffling around, then I hear her cover the mouthpiece of the phone and Free’s voice. I wait, staring out of the window and watching people come and go. Men in leather, women in barely anything.

This is my childhood, these visions are what created the woman that I am today. This is why I have fallen in love with someone that doesn’t deserve me. This is why I blindly allowed him to mark my body.

“Free says we can hang out at the Cash Bar. Ginger will be there today, Traci, too. It’ll get you out of the clubhouse for a little bit at least,” she offers.

“How will I get there?” I ask.

There’s another pause from her, then I hear her chuckle. “Free and I will be by in ten. He says just meet us out front, he doesn’t want to deal with anyone this morning.”

  “Okay,” I agree.

Hanging up the phone, I grab ahold of my hair and tie it up to get it off of my neck and back. Thankfully, I’m already showered and dressed for the day. Watching the clock, I bite the inside of my cheek as the minutes pass by.

I jump when I hear a car pull up and someone lays on the horn. Smiling, I notice that Whitley is in the front seat, her head turned toward Free in the driver’s seat and it looks like she’s giving him hell.

Turning away from the window, I run over to the door, flip the lock and tug it open. Without even a glance at the people in the bar, I run toward the door. Pulling it open, I ignore when I hear people call my name and I practically dive into the backseat of Free and Whitley’s car.

  “Go,” I cry.

Free chuckles as he shifts the car into drive and then it jolts forward and he’s speeding out of the clubhouse.

“You know I have to go back there after I drop you off, don’t you?” he asks.

“Will Snake yell at you?” I ask.

He shrugs, his eyes finding mine in the rearview mirror of his car. “Don’t give much of a fuck who gets mad. You’ll be safe in Cash Bar. I’ll get a couple prospects over to watch you.”

“Am I not safe?” I ask.

Free doesn’t answer right away, he takes a moment and it feels like a lifetime before he speaks. “Don’t know, babe. Carter wasn’t just some nobody. His father isn’t some nobody. They had a plan and I’m sure Daddy Martel knows where you’re hiding out. It just depends on what he wants to do about that. We’re trying to cut the snake off at the head, but who the fuck knows with a guy like that.”

“They played me,” I whisper. “They targeted me, and then they played with me.”

Free snorts. “Yeah, but Lea?” he calls.

I lift my eyes to meet his again in the rearview mirror. The expression on his face is completely serious, his eyes search mine and he grins. “Babe, they played us all. Every single one of us.”

  “Yeah?” I ask.

He lifts his chin. “Yeah, Lea.”

Nothing else is spoken as he pulls his car into the Cash Bar dirt parking lot. I notice the trailer behind the bar, it looks empty and a little sad. I think almost every single Old Lady has lived there at one time or another.

It should be full of people, full of love and kids, I don’t know why but that’s what crosses my mind the moment that I see it.

“Go inside, I’ll call some prospects, but for now being in that building is just as safe as the clubhouse.”

Whitley leans over, touching her lips to Free’
s cheek, as I open the door and climb out. Slamming the door behind me, I begin to walk toward the front door of the bar.

Pulling the front door open, I’m not surprised to see it a complete ghost town inside, it’s still pretty early, but I know as the hours tick by that people will trickle in and by tonight it will be packed.

“Let’s go inside and you can tell me everything about the past six years,” Whitley murmurs, her arm hooking with mine.

  CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

  BABY

Snake is staring at me, pissed the fuck off. I honestly don’t blame him, I just put a wrench in the plan, a plan that we developed like a day before. Chardonnay stays quiet next to me, for the first time fucking ever.

There’s a knock on the office door and Snake lifts his chin to me. Walking over, I unlock the door and tug it open to see Free standing on the other side.

“Got three prospects over at the Cash Bar,” he announces.

  “Why?” I ask.

His eyes cut to me, narrowing slightly as he shakes his head once. “Lea’s over there, hanging out for the day. She called Whitley, figured she didn’t need to be here for whatever is about to go down anyway.” He shrugs.

“She needs to be here, in her room,” I growl, anger boiling in my blood immediately.

Snake lifts his gaze to me, his eyes angry as they focus on me. “You compromised her, Baby. She can be wherever I say. You are not in charge of her, not yet,” he says, dipping his chin to Chardonnay, his meaning perfectly fucking clear.

Clenching my fists, I stay still, deciding not to argue, mainly because he’s fucking right. I fucked up the plan, my impatience fucked everything up and now we have to figure out exactly what we’re going to do next.

“Chardonnay, now here’s the thing. We know,” Snake states.

“You know?” she asks, seemingly innocent.

Snake shakes his head once. His eyes focus on her and he tilts his head to the side. “We know. So, unless you never want to see the outside of this room again, you’ll do what we say.”
